VALENTINA KOZLOVA’S DANCE CONSERVATORY COMPANY PRESENTS SPRING CONCERT 2013
Excerpts from Raymonda, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Le Corsaire and other classics, along with original ballets by Nina Buisson, Olga Verterich, Arianna Dedes, and Cesar Reyes Lopez.

Valentina Kozlova’s Dance Conservatory Company will present it annual Spring Gala, with the exceptional students joined by CRAIG SALSTEIN and ALEX HAMMOUDI, guests from American Ballet Theatre. Also featured in the performance will be Kozlova students VERONIKA VERTERICH, winner of a Bronze Medal in Yuri Grigorovich’s 2010 Ballet Competition in Sochi Russia; and SARAH STEELE, who received a Gold Medal in the Junior Division in the 2011 TanzOlymp Competition in Berlin, and a Gold in the 16-18 year old category in the 2012 Berlin International Ballet Competition.
Craig Salstein will dance with Sarah Steele in the Pas De Deux from the Sleeping Beauty, and Alex Hammoudi and Veronika Verterich will perform the Don Quixote Pas de Deux.
From the great classics, the Company will perform Act I of Raymonda, The Flames of Paris pas de deux, excerpts from Le Corsaire, La Fille Mal Gardee pas de deux, and an excerpt from Giselle.
The contemporary dance repertory includes Jeux d’Eau, choreography by Nina Buisson and Olga Verterich, set to music by Tchaikovsky and Henri Torgue; Primera Vez, by Buisson and Cesar Reyes Lopez, music by Schubert; Les Sabres du Paradis, also by Buisson and Lopez, set to music by Philip Glass, Michael Gordon, and Naoki Sato; and Les Marins by Arianna Dedes, music by Felix Mendelssohn.
AND – please mark on your calendars the Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition (VKIBC), which, after two successful years as Boston International Ballet Competition, will come home to New York, June 27-30 at LaGuardia Concert Hall, 100 Amsterdam Avenue.
