Thomas Noone vuelve a convocar coreógrafos extranjeros por su nuevo proyecto, Cortos, que se estrenará el SAT! los días 16, 17 y 18 de septiembre.

La propuesta cuenta con las coreografías del brasileño Ederson Rodrigues Xavier, el alemán Johannes Wieland y el mismo Noone, que partirán del concepto de el error.

Con esta producción el Balletto dell’Esperia propone una nueva visión de algunas de las más importantes obras maestras del ballet del siglo XX, realizada por tres coreógrafos contemporáneos: La muerte del cisne, versión de Thierry Malandain (director del Ballet Biarritz); La siesta del fauno, creación exclusiva de Eugenio Scigliano para la compañía; y Los cuatro temperamentos, de Paolo Mohovich.

 
The Dancing Wheels Company, based in Cleveland, Ohio, will present the world premiere of Ginger Thatcher’s Pinocchio on December 2, 3, 4 & 5, 2010 at the Breen Center for the Performing Arts at the Saint Ignatius High School in Cleveland, Ohio.

The Dancing Wheels, a company for dancers with and without disabilities, has been collaborating with choreographer, Ginger Thatcher, during the months of July and August on the world premiere of Pinocchio, a process which has been described in the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

From August 19th to September 19th , the 22nd edition of the TANZ IM AUGUST – INTERNATIONAL

DANCE FESTIVAL will present works by internationally renowned choreographers as well as pieces from a new generation. The largest German dance festival will bring a total of 38 productions from 19 countries in an overview of contemporary dance to Berlin’s stages.

The curators of TANZ IM AUGUST have established two emphases for this year’s edition: the subject of human rights and dance history.

Ailey in Central Park for Free Performances During Summerstage 25th Anniversary Season.

On Friday, July 23rd and Saturday, July 24th at 8pm, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater returns to SummerStage to share the brilliant artistry and passionate energy that bring audiences around the globe to their feet night after night.

Bajo la dirección del coreógrafo Lin Hwai-min, el Cloud Gate Dance Theatre de Taiwán se ha dedicado a explorar las disciplinas del cuerpo tradicionales chinas. La compañía ya visitó, en una de sus exitosas giras internacionales, el Mercat de les Flors durante el Grec 2007 con Moon Water, y ahora presenta un nuevo trabajo.

Este espectáculo forma parte de la programación del Grec 2010. Festival de Barcelona.

Con motivo de esta celebración, la compañía abrirá la próxima temporada del Teatre Lliure de Barcelona y lo hará con la reposición y actualización de uno de sus montajes más emblemáticos, Belmonte estrenado en 1988 en el Mercat de les Flors de Barcelona.

Para su reposición, Belmonte contará de nuevo con el equipo artístico de entonces: Frederic Amat al frente del vestuario y del espacio escénico y Carles Santos como compositor de la música y algunos días dirigiendo a la banda.
